After some hard thinking ( with a little help O:D) and a rather frustrating encounter with Google, I finally managed to create a new blog entitled Marshall Arts! For those of you who don't know, Marshall is the brand name for amplifiers, which I use very often with a bass at the other end of the cable. :) I made the blog because my "lego" blog seemed to be about almost anything but legos at this time. So I intend to base my new blog on music and tech stuff! I will probably post more on Marshall Arts than on this one. Following is appreciated (no spam please!!!). See you there!

JellyCam: Stop-Motion Video Making Software

If you've ever tried making a stop-motion video using a simple camera and windows movie maker, you probably know how frustrating and laborious it is. Not with JellyCam, though! All you need is a webcam (or camera that can be plugged into the computer and put in PC camera mode)! It's very quick & easy to use, with a simple tap of the spacebar to take a picture. I Love Paint Shop Pro

The title says it all. Paint Shop Pro is FULLY ARSOME. As you may know, I used Paint Shop Pro 8 for my first episode of my Hero Factory comic; I just tried out the X2 version, and I'm DEFINITELY going to use it for editing the second episode (coming soon! :D). Here's a sample of what it can do: (click photos for higher resolution.)

I wanted to show the "before" version of the now-edited photo, but even though I told the computer to save them separately, the "before" photo was replaced with the "after" photo. :P So, I just used the other photo that was similar.

Eliminate Pro Review

As you may already know, I SERIOUSLY love electronics and gadgets. I (not-so) recently got my hands on something that I used to think was an impossibility... an IPOD TOUCH!!!
On the iPod touch, I also discovered an awesome game called eliminate pro:

Eliminate pro is an MMOG (massively multi-player online game) first person shooter, which basically means you participate in competition matches with players from around the world, and the first one to shoot down the other players ten times wins! It requires a plus+ account to play, which is quick, easy, and safe (you don't have to add any personal information if you don't want to). You can add and accept friends, if you ever want to play a duel with them! You can also choose to send them messages in the "room" where you invite friends and start the game (I have actually been able to witness to people about Jesus through this, and have met several fellow Christians!!! :D). As you win matches, you earn "credits" which are spent on upgradeable robotic armor, weapons, and equipment (credits pop up out of the player just gunned down). Credits are only earned when your armor has "energy," which lasts for three matches (energy isn't deducted if you join a battle that has already started).
There are LOTS of different weapons, armor, etc., which you can find out more about at the Eliminate Pro Wiki. My favorite armor is the Infiltrator, and my weapons of choice would be Mag Rail, Titan, and Gravity Hook (only two weapons can be carried into battle, so I usually have my primary weapon as #1 and Gravity Hook as #2). The mag rail is a basic but powerful machine gun (seen in photo above), and the gravity hook serves as a grappling hook with limited distance which can be upgraded in inventory to reach farther.
There are also several different battlegrounds which you can also check out at the Eliminate Pro Wiki. Battles are joined with other players of similar rank (which is earned by earning credits) and skill (how often you win battles). In certain areas of the map, there are certain power-ups (such as cloaking field, jet pack, health recharge, damage amplifier, berserker shield [can be used to bash opponents with], etc.) are located, and will reappear some time after being picked up. Power-ups last several seconds, but can last longer if you upgrade your armor's "power-up" in inventory.

Another way to play the game is Co-op (cooperation) mode, where you can fight computer-controlled "drones" with a friend.

You only have three minutes to defeat seven waves of different types of drones and two "bosses," making it quite a challenge. Some weapons work better than others for co-op, especially the Vaporizer and the Titan (high power rocket launcher).

Now for pros and cons:

PROS:
very good graphics:

items (color skins and temporary perks for your armor):

controls are pretty easy, it takes a lot of experience to really get good at it:

CONS:

Sometimes you end up battling hackers (people can hack the game to make themselves run SUPER fast, be completely invisible, etc.):

Other players (especially hackers) can sometimes quickly steal the credits that pop out of a guy you just shot

My tips:
-explore as much of the different menus as you can before you start the game
-never sell a weapon you have purchased, for you will only get back about a quarter of the credits you paid to purchase it
-only add or accept friend requests who you think you will really play with
-when shooting at an opponent, try to keep moving and keep your crosshair aimed at them
-if someone is shooting rockets at your feet, try to jump just before the rocket hits, as this will reduce damage to you or completely dodge the rocket
-try to evenly upgrade your armor and weapons, so you don't end up with tons of speed but almost no shielding, etc.
-buy the Infiltrator or Airborne armor, and upgrade it as much as you can
-always have the gravity hook as weapon #2
-only upgrade the range and rate of fire on the gravity hook
-the vaporizer can shoot through windows

This game is tons of fun, and if you have an iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad, I would HIGHLY recommend getting this game (it's free on the app store! :D).

I also apologize for not commenting, but I HAVE been trying to read your blogs in my spare time, and I very much enjoy your posts. I also have no idea how I'm going to be able to review new Lego sets i have purchased O:), but I will definitely try to review most of my best ones. In addition to HERO Factory Legos, I've also been collecting Ninjago and Collectible Minifigures sets. MISSION BRIEFING: ALPHA TEAM MEMBER DUNCAN BULK WAS SENT ON A SIMPLE MISSION TO WARD OFF A HOSTILE REPTOID SNAKE ON THE PLANET OF LUNAR TRATIX. ON THE WAY, HE CONTACTED SAYING HE WAS UNDER ATTACK FROM SOME HUGE CREATURE AND WAS BEING SHOVED INTO A PORTAL, THEN ALL COMMUNICATION BLACKED OUT. THAT WAS 3 DAYS AGO. THE REMAINDER OF THE ALPHA TEAM, PRESTON STORMER AND JIMI STRINGER, HAVE BEEN SENT ALONG WITH ROOKIES WILLIAM FURNO, MARK SURGE, AND NATALIE BREEZ, TO ENTER THE PORTAL AND RESCUE BULK...

Thoughts on the New 2011 HF sets

So, the new 2011 Hero Factory sets are finally here! In my opinion, the wait was not in vain. :D The new sets are ARSOME!!!! This is the first time, in Hero Factory or Bionicle, that a set this small has had bendable elbows and knees! Not to mention all that cool armor. When I first saw the preliminary pictures, one of my first thoughts was "Oh great, they're gonna cost a lot." HOWEVER! the price stayed at just $7.99!!! How cool is that?! I can hardly wait to get some and review them!

7170 Jimi Stringer Review

Jimi Stringer is my fifth Hero Factory set and second alpha team set. Jimi is sort of the "music man" of the team, with a a bass-subwoofer gun, several speakers on his breastplate and helmet, and, according to the lego.com bios, loves music! Totally cool. :D I love the shiny black and flashy orange, too. His helmet looks... intersting. He has a speaker mouth piece, like Surge and Breez, but this one is a little different in that it has what at a glance looks like four eyes?! Don't worry, it's not, it's just an opening in the helmet similiar to what Stormer has. Stringer's breastplate is also unique for its small abdomen and big chest. This, along with the orange and black, gives him a heavy duty appeal.

Pros:

I LOVE the weapon
flashy orange arms, legs, and hero core
unique helmet
subwoofers and speakers found on weapon, breastplate, and helmet
shiny black

Cons:
Arms and legs are the same piece, making him look short
Elbows and knees can't bend

My rating: 4.5 out of 5

7164 Preston Stormer Review

I got Preston Stormer at the same time as Jimi Strnger (review coming soon!). He is my first alpha team set because I opened his box first. :D I totally love the blue! It is the same jewel blue color as Surge has. I really like the weapon for its multi-tool look and awesome ice-spike/blade. The spke/blade is made of a flexible rubber, but don't bend it too much or it will come off! My favorite part about the set besides the blue is the helmet. So far, I have really really liked every Hero Factory helmet, but this one is the real deal! I liked it so much, in fact, that I now use it as my blogger icon! :D The visor, camera, and small antenna make him look something like Boba Fett from Star Wars!

Pros:
jewel blue arms, legs, eyes, and hero core
ARSOME helmet!
neat weapon
new armor

Cons:
arms and legs are the same piece, making him look short
elbows and knees can't bend

My rating: 4.8 out of 5 stars

7167 William Furno Review

This is my third Hero Factory set, and no doubt one of my favorites! Furno has a green hero core, yellow arms, and bright red armor, hands, and boots, which look ARSOME! Another thing that stood out to me was his helmet. It has a very intricate design on the front, sides, and top, and is slightly smaller than most Hero Factory helmets or Bionicle masks. He is slightly shorter than the rest of the rookie team (Surge and Breez), but that doesn't really matter to me. The only thing I didn't like about this set was his weapon, which is very long and clumsy. But they can be used for wings, which is interesting. So now for pros and cons:

Pros:
good color combination
GREEN!!! hero core
bright red :)
complex-looking helmet

Cons:
weapon is too long and looks kinda weird
elbows and knees don't bend
arm and leg pieces are the same, making him look short

My rating: 4.5 out of 5

Wohoo! I LOVE Thanksgiving! I see it is a time when you can actually stop, take a break, and thank God for His great blessings. I have a LOT to be thankful for. I am first of all thankful to Jesus Christ for giving his life for me and the whole world, and all the exceeding blessings He has poured out on me and my family. I am thankful for those great folks like Mrs. Mecomber, Alice, Jay, Renee, Mrs. Szymanski, Mike, T., Jean, and all those others who support my blog and offer encouragement. I am very thankful for our new kitchen and dining room, which we just renovated. It has been a HUGE blessing. Yet another thing I am VERY thankful for is THIS:
My very own Ibanez precision bass! And a bass amp. :D My dad got them for me!!! This is my first instrument of my own. I also play keyboard, but I borrow that from my sister. :D I have had it for a few months now, and have learned quite a bit! It is ARSOME! (My dad. is. The. BEST!)

One of the best things about Thanksgiving is the food. Sparkling grape juice, turkey, STUFFING!!!, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and those funny half egg thingummies filled with yellow stuff and some red spice. WOW. :)

I could go on a very long list of what I am thankful for, but it is getting late and my fingers are tired (I played bass for a long time earlier :D). So good night, and God bless you all!

Hero Factory: Rise of the Rookies Movie!

Yep! Lego Hero Factory is releasing their first movie, "Rise of the Rookies," tomorrow! The voice of Mark Hammel (acted as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars) is featured in this film, but which character he does I am not sure. I find it quite remarkable that they released a movie only three months after the Hero Factory theme was released! Pretty cool, though. Available for pre-order at amazon!

7165 Natalie Breez Review

Breez is my second Hero Factory set. It is a very sleek and stream-lined looking set. I love the bright green colored armor, helmet, and boomerang blades! The two boomerangs also have a metallic silver color and cool harpoons. The boomerangs can also be attached to the back of her arms for a hang glider! Her helmet has a headset and camera on the side (as all Hero Factory heroes do), and a stream-lined look that dominates the whole set. The removable hero core is dark red, which is very neat. The leg armor plating, breastplate, and feet look great in bright green. I am very pleased with this set, as it turned out better than I thought!
This is a great set for anyone who likes Hero Factory. When I first saw it, it was instantly one of my favorites. I love the sleek look and multi-use boomersngs!

Pros:
Great color
Great weapons
Boomerangs can be used FIVE different ways!!
Stream-lined look and feel
Ruby Red Hero core

Cons:
Elbows and knees can't bend
Arms and legs are same length, making her look short

I recently read a review of Everything Is Different Now on Jay's Music Blog, and was immediately interested. I decided to investigate by checking out two of their albums, Everything Is Different Now and Expect the Impossible. To say the least, I was THRILLED!!! This stuff is AWESOME!!! I simply love the incredible drums and guitar, Adam Agee's voice, everything! I love the energetic songs such as "Innocent," "Sunshine," and "Eyes," and the more thoughtful and worshipful songs such as "Letters," "You Never Let Go," and "It's Not Over." They are like an American Hillsong United(I LOOOOOOOOOOVE Hilsong United!!!!)!

Would you believe me if I told you that Stellar Kart has become equal to Newsboys on my favorite music list? :D

A very special thanks to Jay's Music Blog for inspiring me to check out this awesome music! The investigation proved to be quite satisfying. ;)

7169 Mark Surge Review

Mark Surge is my very first Hero Factory set! I am very pleased with this set. It has a cool "jewel blue" color, great armor, and interesting electricity weapons. His helmet has a headset and camera on the side, and has a lightning bolt shape imprinted on either side on the top of the helmet. Also has a yellowish-green "hero core" in the center of his breastplate, which can be removed and attached back on. I was impressed with the maetallic colored arms and legs, and the cool leg armor plating.
This is a good starter set for Hero Factory fans. It gives you an idea of the general size, metallic coloring found on other sets, bright color, tiny details, and other stuff.

Pros:
Cool blue color
Great armor
Neat-looking weapons
Weapons can be held in three different ways
Removable Hero core

Cons:
Legs and arms are same size, making him look short.
Set seems kinda small
Elbows and knees can't bend

So there you have it!

We Can't Stand Sitting Down

I recently found out about a certain something that has been going on for some time now. It is a tragedy called human trafficking. This is pretty much no different from slavery. Some sick people kidnap and enslave women and children for household use, sell them to other slave drivers, and abuse them harshly. These people are being treated like animals, just objects of property. That is only a mild way of putting it, too.
This is not going on in some far country like Africa or Asia or something like that. This is happening in the United States, it is happening in Asia, it is happening in Canada, in Europe, Africa, the list goes on. And everybody wonders how all those missing children reports in the newspapers happen. Now you know!
Something is being done, however. Pearl Alliance has teamed with the FBI to prevent human trafficking and rescue victims. More must be done, the news must be spread. This means YOU! If you have a blog, then blog about it. If you are a reporter, write about it. Do something. Be a voice! This is happening most likely NEAR YOU! If your child or someone you knew very closely, or even yourself, was kidnapped and sold and enslaved, would you want people sitting around saying they didn't feel like doing something, or they were tired, or they wanted to do something else, blah blah blah? No! BE A VOICE!!!

As you might know, I used to have a meme called "Music for Monday." I stopped doing this because my main source for the music videos was from tangle, which was supposed to be a "Christian YouTube." It is now full of NON christian videos, pictures and ads. I had been thinking about this recently, and thought it might be a good idea to start a new meme called "Music of the Month," where I would post my own videos for my three favorite songs for the month. I hope to be starting this very soon! If you like Hillsong United, Newsboys, Kutless, and Group 1 Crew, be sure to check in every once in a while!

Story Update

Okay there has been a little mix-up with the chapter numbers...This is chapter 5 of Where Serpents Tread. (I'm too tired to fix it right now!) Oh, and I decided to change Cameron's age to 17.

Chapter 5 "And Sold! To the Man With the Silver Star!"

“What is with this place??” Cameron muttered, closely examining the wall, running his fingers across the dark wood. “Nothing but mysteries.” The sheriff and Henry had already joined in searching. “Wh-What's this?” Cameron stammered. His fingers had hit a crack in the wall, out of which a piece of paper fell to the floor. He picked up the dusty paper carefully as Henry watched, eyes wide. Wait, did I say just Henry?? “Don't move,” a raspy voice said from... somewhere. Cameron froze, with the folded paper still in his hand. Henry looked like a statue.. same color, too. “Hand it over,” the voice said. Cameron swallowed hard. Finally finding his voice, he managed to stutter “A-a-rr-are you k-kidding? W-where ar-re you?” “Just drop it,” the voice said in a not-too-happy tone. Cameron eyed Henry, who had been listening, trying to locate the sinister voice. He nodded stiffly. Cameron didn't want to give away the answer to all their questions because some weirdo said to drop it. “Or what?” Cameron said. “Look up,” the voice said mockingly. Cameron and Henry looked up at the catwalk. There were about 10 ninja-looking men lined up on the catwalk, all pointing their guns, one in each hand, straight at Cameron and Henry. Cameron dropped the paper. Just the second as the paper touched the floor, a figure landed 2 feet in front of Cameron. He flew back, knocking Henry a little bit. The figure stood motionless, dressed completely in black, with a mask covering his face. Only his eyes showed through the narrow slit in his mask, but it was enough to make Cameron and Henry jump out of their skin. The two gray eyes stared at the trio, as he knelt down and picked up the paper. “Where's the sheriff?” Henry said quietly. The sinister voice guy looked up from the paper in his hand. “He's been taken care of,” he replied, pistol in hand. The man waved his hand behind his back, signaling the other men down from the catwalk. All but one of them walked over to the petrified figures of Henry and Cameron, guns and ropes ready. The other went to the leader, who was observing the paper. As the henchmen busily unarmed and tied Henry and Cameron, Henry was closely watching the actions of the other two. They had studied the paper, then walked to the rest of the men. “Let's take 'em to camp. We got to get there before the sun rises.” Henry and Cameron were shoved forward toward the back door. As they passed the end of the long counter, Cameron turned to see the figure of a man sitting behind the counter in a relaxed position. One of the moon's rays hit his face as he leaned forward, revealing a broad grin. It was the sheriff.

The door burst open as Henry and the sheriff rushed into the dark hotel. They were slightly relieved to see Cameron sitting up on the floor. He was holding up some kind of dart in his hand, which had a leather ball on the end. "I'm almost getting used to this," Cameron said sarcastically, giving the dart a withering look. "What happened?" the sheriff asked quickly. Cameron stood up. "Somebody were snoopin' in the back room. I almost caught em' when Poky here had to butt in," Cameron said, handing the dart to the sheriff. "Ok, it isn't very poky... But it don't need to be sharp to hurt!" Cameron said. "Knock-out dart," sheriff said, handing the dart to Henry. Henry examined it briefly, and nodded. "I'll look around for some clues," the sheriff said, walking into the back room. Henry turned to Cameron. "Seems like those snakes don't like you around that much," he said. "I noticed," Cameron said. Henry chuckled a little, then went to join the sheriff. Cameron followed. "Nothin'" the sheriff told them. He turned to Cameron and asked, "Could you tell what direction the dart came from?" Cameron walked over to the place he had stood not long ago, and positioned himself the way he was just before the dart was fired. He thought hard, and spun slowly to the right, pointing to the direction it came from. The sheriff and Henry looked at him blankly. Cameron was pointing at a blank wall.

Now, did you ever wonder why it says there were many lamps in the upper room? Yeah, me too. But some time ago, my dad brought up this passage. After he read this verse, he went to Acts 2:2-3

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

Now, correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like in some other translation the flames of fire were called lamps.

I am late for my update again! So sorry for the delay, just been extremely busy with no energy to write! But I finally got around to it, and here it be. Oh, I almost forgot! My sister and I made sets for the main scenes of my first and second chapters, the others are coming soon.

Chapter 4 Venom

Cameron was lying in bed, unable to sleep. He was in his hotel room, which one Carson had suggested he use. It suited Cameron well, with a small closet, a window with a tiny couch in front of it, a round table in the corner to the left of the chair, a dresser next to that, another small table in the corner, the door, and Cameron's bed in the corner to the right of the chair. Cameron was thinking deeply about his conversation with the sheriff, and the encounter with the Serpents henchmen. It was easy to see why the Indian's garden had been called the "garden of Eden," for it was indeed thriving very well, and the Serpents seemed to have an interest in it. But who had the strangers who had used this term been? And did Carson have a secret map of the garden? Cameron couldn't ask him, because Carson had been out of town after Cameron went for a walk. Cameron's thoughts were cut short as his ears pricked up with the sound of quiet footsteps. He got up carefully, opened a drawer of his dresser, and pulled his six-shooter out. He opened his door with extreme caution, and crept down the stairs very carefully, pistol cocked and ready. He looked from one end of the room to another, with no one in sight. Yet Cameron persisted, edging his way tho the counter. The back room door was slightly open! He slid over to it, and ever so slowly peered in. There he was, wearing a hood, rifling through a box. Cameron was just about to say "Scratch the ceiling!" when there was a crack. Cameron's gun thumped to the floor. He crumbled to the ground with a feeling in his side like it had been hit with an iron bar, and his eyelids fell shut as he blacked out.

I found a news report on lego.com about someone making a house out of lego bricks... LIFE SIZE house!
This is amazing! It is human-sized, has a bed, chairs, and even board-games! Even a cat! (kinda)
However, the cat was stolen, and it is going to be torn down because someone needs the area for harvesting grapes. :S for the whole story, go here.

Story Update

Ok, so I finally got a name for my story, thanks to the help of my sister. It is called "Where Serpents Tread."

Chapter 2

The sheriff and his men escorted the prisoners out the door. Cameron didn't quite understand what the gang member had said, but was sure he would soon. He turned to Carson, who shrugged, showing that he didn't understand either. "They walked in here this mornin', and when no one was around, they drew their guns on me. They tied me up and left me there. I'm glad that I asked the sheriff to keep an eye on the hotel today, for I knew them two was up to trouble. What brought you here?" Carson said. "Albert told me to stay with you. He died a few days ago." Cameron said slowly. "I heard. Albert once told me that if anything happened, to treat you like my own son, and that is just what I am going to do. Just pick a room." Cameron went upstairs and choose a room. He tidied it up a bit, then headed back down. Carson was busy, so Cameron let him know that he was going to go out for a walk. It was mostly quiet outside. One house down the road caught Cameron's eye, so he walked over for a closer look as he passed. It was medium size, with a beautiful garden in the back. He could tell it belonged to a family of Indians, probably Cherokee. The sheriff office was next, so he decided to step in. The sheriff was leaning back in his chair when Cameron walked in. "Well, hi there! anything I can help ya with?" he said with a smile. "I was wondering if I could ask a few questions, if you aren't busy, that is." Cameron answered. "As a matter of fact, I don't have anything to do, so feel free." the sheriff answered. "And have a seat." Cameron sat down, and replied in a calm voice so as the prisoners would not hear, "Why do you think they attacked Carson?" The sheriff looked down thoughtfully for a minute then said, "They want to find out about the garden, and they think Carson has the map." "Garden?" Cameron asked. "The Indian's garden. It's still a mystery, but I hear there have been some strangers around town, and I overheard a few of 'em. They said something about the 'Garden of Eden.'

I am SO sorry I am very late for my word for wednesday. It has been crazy, and my blog has been changed around a bit. But this is my word for friday:

Story Update

This is my second story update. I can't think of a name just yet, but hopefully I will soon.

Chapter 1 Rescued

Slowly, Cameron's eyes forced open. He was in the back room, tied to a chair beside the other prisoner, probably Carson. It was dark, and his eyes slowly adjusted to it, showing that two masked men were standing in front of him. One was the man who was at the counter, playfully spinning Cameron's pistol on his finger. The other must be the one who gave Cam the hard tap on the head. He saw that Cameron had revived, and walked up to him. "What were doin' with that gun, boy?" he asked with a hint of anger in his voice. Cameron did not answer, but looked at him with a blank look. "How about you tell me who you are, where you came from," he looked Cameron sternly in the eye, "and whar you got that dern gun." Cameron was good at playing stupid. "I don't rightly know who I am, and I don't think I came from anywhere. As far as the gun, it fell out of the sky when it was raining," Cam said in an innocent voice. Now the man started getting serious about the matter, drawing his pistol and pointing it in Cam's face. "Maybe I can help remind you," he said in a quaking voice. Just then there was a slam, and the man's eyebrows shot up. Three men barged into the room, one wearing a silver star, obviously the sheriff. "Looks like we've finally pinned you snakes this time," the sheriff said to the masked men, who had dropped their guns and had their hands up. The other two men busily unbound Cameron and the other man. "Who are those masked baboons?" Cameron asked the man who was untying him. "They are two members of a nasty gang called the Serpents. The man in the chair is Walter Carson. I'm Henry Phillips, that's sherriff Jackcson, and the man untying Carson is Billy Jones." Cameron was standing up now, and followed the men to the main room of the hotel. Carson went behind the counter and started cleaning up, and the sheriff and his men headed for the door. But just as they passed Cameron, one of the gang members said angrily to Cameron, "The Serpents have plenty of venom left for you and Carson. You haven't seen the last of us!"

My First Story Update

This is my first update to my story. I haven't thought of a name yet, but hopefully I will next week.

Introduction

Cameron was a boy of about 13. He stood 5 foot 9, and was mostly quiet. He was riding his horse through town, inspecting the hotels as he passed. He was an orphan, and had been brought up by a poor old man, who had died 5 days ago. He owned nothing more than an old, rickety lean-to, his clothes, and a six-shooter and hat, which he gave to Cameron. Cam finally stopped in front of a hotel which had a sign that read "Carson Hotel." The old man, whose name was Albert, had told Cameron that if he ever needed a place to stay, to go to the Carson Hotel. Cam walked in the door up to a counter, behind which a man was standing, with his back to Cameron. He was obviously polishing a glass. Cameron, hoping he wouldn't startle him, said, "Uh, howdy. Albert told me I would find-" But he was cut short, as the man spun around, revealing a masked face, and pointed a small revolver at him. "Don't move," he said, almost in a whisper. "Act casual and get over here behind the counter. No tricks." Cameron did so. "Get in there," he said, and shoved Cameron into a back room. He closed and locked the door, pointing his gun at Cam the whole time. There were no windows in the room, and only two chairs, and a man was tied to one, with a gag on him. Cam was glad his six-shooter was hidden in his jacket. The masked man shoved him into a chair. He didn't bother searching him, after all, who would think that a kid of 13 would carry a gun around? The masked man had to set the gun down to tie Cameron. But once he turned around with the rope in his hands, he was staring down the barrel of Cameron's gun. Cameron stood up, glaring at the masked man, who had his hands up, and said, "Okay, buster, you've met your match. I want answers, and I want them now." Just as he finished the sentence, he heard a footstep behind him, felt something come down hard on his head, and collapsed to the floor.

Story Challenge Notice

This is a warning for all of the people who have entered the story challenge. As you know, the stories will be posted on your blog. But I want every one to realize that if some greedy person should come across your blog, they could copy your story and post it somewhere or possibly publish it, and get all the credit, and at the same time make a nice amount of moolah off of it. So, we would probably have to keep the stories a little short, or, as Jay said, do a weekly update or somethin like that. Hope everyone has fun with the stories! I feel kinda guilty because I haven't been able to start my story yet! I will try to do an update every week, but it depends how long it will be because I can be one busy bee sometimes. It will pro'lly be weshtern, and it'sh pro'lly gonna be about a kid of about 13 trying to survive. But have fun!

Review of the V-Touch

As you probably know, I am a big fan of Kutless, Newsboys, and Hillsong. I like to listen to their music while I work, but some of my siblings... don't. So, I had been wanting an MP3 for a while until a package came. Dad pulled out three boxes, each with this picture:
At first I thought I wasn't seeing right. But it was real! It is called a V-touch, or Visual Touch Screen. It can hold music files, videos, photos, e-books, and all sorts of stuff. And you can take pictures, videos, and voice recordings. It even has a speaker! And it has a clock and a calendar, too! I really like it. I now have some music and plenty of pictures and videos on it! And it is a touch screen. It is really nice, except for one thing. THE VOLUME. When you plug in headphones or earphones, it is EXTREMELY loud. And when you turn it down just one notch, the volume is down all the way. So you usually have to listen to it through the speaker. Nothing that cannot be fixed, however! My sister has earphones with a volume control on the wire, and said it makes a huge difference. So, hopefully I can find one of those! But I really like the V-touch a lot. I would rate it 5 stars.

Toy Story Coming Soon

Toy Story should be coming very soon. I am finding more and more pictures, and so far, it doesn't look to bad. It is now on the products page at lego.com, where you explore Andy's room a bit. Looks like they are making a lot of new pieces in 2010, not only for Toy Story, but also for Atlantis, Ben10 Alien Force (YUK), and all that stuff. I still think that they should keep Bionicle, even though it has been around for eight years! I should be posting any other updates soon.

Bionicle Ending

I knew that this would happen soon, but I was hoping that it would not end this soon. Bionicle is going to end next year. Lego is going to release six new sets, and then they are going to get rid of Bionicle. I have really liked Bionicle (except for a few sets), and it was kinda disappointing to hear about this. I have a rather dissapointing announcement to make about my Music for Monday. I have noticed that Tangle.com (the site where I get all of my music videos) has changed a lot since I first found it. In the wrong way. It is no longer a very Christian website (bad pictures, sneaky ads, FAR from Christian videos) and I just can't ignore it any more. I am no longer going to be able to post my Music for Mondays, unless I find a good site, or some other blogger leaves a comment that they know of a good site. I would be very happy if you let me know of any good sites! Other bloggers can continue their Music for Monday if they can. I am very sorry about this. It Is Well Review

I recently got the "It Is Well" album done by Kutless. I really like it a lot. It has twelve tracks: "It Is Well", "Amazed", "Hungry", "Taken By Love", "What Faith Can Do", "Remember Me", "God of Wonders", "Everything I Need", "Give Us Clean Hands", "You Save Me", "Redeemer", and "I'm Still Yours". My favorites are "It Is Well" and "Remember Me". Here are some of the songs:

This is the best CD that I have! (Actually, it is the ONLY CD that I have!) I recommend that you check it out.

Revelation 9:7-10
7 The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men.8 They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like lion's teeth.9 And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of many chariots with many horses running into battle.
10 They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. their power was to hurt men five months.

After reading this, I get the impression that the locusts might be some kind of helicopter. helicopters are sort of shaped like horses prepared for battle, kind of crouching down, ready to pounce. I don't quite understand the part about crowns of something like gold, but the faces like men's faces and lions teeth reminds me of the pictures that they paint on the noses of some helicopters. And the women's hair sounds like the propellers, maybe? John also says that they had breastplates of iron, and helicopters do have pretty good armor. And the sound of their wings being like the sound of many chariots and horses is what the propellers to a helicopter sound like. and tails like scorpions with stings in their tails could be the tail of a helicopter with a gun on it. I could be wrong, but it sure sounds like some kind of helicopter to me.

Review of Bionicle, the Legend Reborn

I watched this movie a few weeks ago, and it turned out to be okay. There are some weird things, though. It is the story of a guy named Mata Nui (he is on the cover), who used to be a huge giant, ruler of "his own universe." But his arch enemy's "spirit" slipped in his place, trapping Mata Nui's "spirit" in the mask of life. Riighhht. So Mata Nui landed on a planet called Bara Magna, where he must help the dwellers of the planet. And he can use his mask to transform thngs. And he relies on the "power of unity!". Ugh. Who would want to unite with a guy like that?
Anyway, I still like the fight scenes, and especially I like Berix. He is hilarious! Here is a picture of him:

Cendox V1 Review

This is a review of the Cendox V1, which I just got yesterday!

It is a very nice set. Plenty of cool pieces, treads, and lots of other stuff. It is a lot of fun!

It is a very nice set, with spinning propellers, shoulder-mounted gun, and cool orange color. you can also attatch this little guy to his back:

13:2 Now the beast which I saw as like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.

I think that this passage is pretty interesting, because in a seminar done by Kent Hovind, he mentioned that pottery made by native Americans had been discovered, and it had pictures of dinosaurs with circle patterns on them. This is interesting because John says the beast was like a leopard. And it also has bear's feet and a lion's mouth, and seven heads with ten horns. Sounds like a ferocious beast to me!

I love LEGOs, and I love to collect them. The first set I will review is #8981 Tarix.
He has plenty of moving parts, cool swords, neat helmet, a thornax launcher ( that thing attatched to his sword that has a spiked ball in it), and great gold pieces:D. I love just about everything about him! To make it easy, I will just give a list of pros and cons:
